Organisational Development

AUA at the University of Sussex

The Association of University Administrators

What is the AUA?

The AUA is the professional association for all those who work or aspire to work in higher education management or administration.

Members are supported to define and reach their career goals through development opportunities, high-impact research and by connecting to a sector-wide network of like-minded individuals. A powerful voice for professional services staff, AUA membership provides professional recognition and enables best practice across higher education.

The AUA describes its mission simply: Connecting and developing higher education professionals.

AUA events

The AUA organises professional development events across the UK. Discounts are available for AUA members.

The AUA South Region delivered its 5th Regional Symposium on 24 January 2020. Hosted by the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex, the symposium focused on the AUA professional behaviour of finding solutions. The universities arranged parallel workshop sessions for delegates who were able to network with colleagues across the region whilst also having the opportunity to welcome staff and colleagues new to the AUA.
