What we do

We are dedicated to enabling our staff to achieve their best through development opportunities. We provide a range of workshops designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.

Our work leads on University-wide initiatives, such as transformative leadership and management programmes and championing equality and diversity. We also provide support for new staff through our staff induction events.

Where we are based

Organisational Development is part of Human Resources.

Who is responsible for your learning and development?

Responsibility for your learning and development lies with you. However, your manager should plan and facilitate learning that is relevant to your role. Learn more about planning your development, including the appraisals process, induction, staff mentoring, job shadowing and apprenticeships.

Each School and Division has its own staff development budget and most have a key member of staff with a staff development brief. Your School Administrator, Division Director or Unit Head will be able to tell you who they are.
