Campus parking

Car parking on campus is very limited as we proceed with a major programme of campus development, and spaces will continue to be in high demand for a number of years.

Parking charges are suspended until further notice.

If you need to park on campus during the national COVID-19 lockdown, please submit an application form for temporary parking to the Parking Panel via e-mail, at Drivers will be notified in advance of parking charges being reinstated.

If your temporary permit has expired, you do not need to renew it - you can display an expired permit in your vehicle windscreen until parking charges are reinstated.

Please be aware that parking enforcement is active on campus. Make sure you follow all parking regulations and rules while parked on campus.

The University Parking Policy actively promotes sustainable travel. This policy was developed taking into account the changing needs of campus users, feedback from the Students’ Union, as well as consultant-led research. Staff consultation will influence further iterations of the policy.

Looking ahead, the University is moving car parking to the periphery of the campus, creating a safer, more pleasant and accessible centre. We are also committed to reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging travel to campus through sustainable methods. Please help to support this initiative and consider how you make your journey to and from campus.
