Weekly transport updates
20 September 2023
Parking during new student arrivals
Student arrivals will be taking place from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 September.
Please be aware that parking, roads, and transport in general will be extremely busy on these days (particularly Saturday 23 September), as we welcome thousands of new students onto campus.
- P1 Science car park has limited parking available during arrivals, and is closed to staff entirely on Saturday 23 September - please park elsewhere on campus during arrivals where possible
- A BHAFC football match is taking place on Sunday 24 September, kickoff at 2pm - please be aware there will be very limited parking available on campus
- Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 will be exceptionally busy, and we politely ask that University staff only attend campus over the weekend if assisting with arrivals, or otherwise strictly need to be on campus
- Route 23 buses will not serve Bramber House, Lewes Court or Northfield from 8am to 5.30pm during arrivals
Thank you for your understanding during this busy period of the year.
Please collect your parking permit once ready
If you have received an e-mail letting you know your parking permit or pass is ready to collect, please do so at your earliest convenience. Information on collecting your parking permit will be available in your confirmation e-mail.
Applications for all staff and student parking permits are open. You will receive an e-mail when your parking permit is ready to collect.
We are currently not enforcing for expired parking permits while the renewal process takes place. Please continue to use your expired permit until your new permit is ready. Parking enforcement is still active for improper or dangerous parking on campus.
