Weekly transport updates

Essential work takes place throughout the year across campus, to improve our facilities and infrastructure. These works may occasionally have an impact on transport to the University, such as road closures and bus diversions.

Parking enforcement and permits

Parking enforcement is now active – make sure you have applied for and collected your permit or pass-to-park if you plan to park on campus.

Parking permit applications for 2020/21 are still open via Sussex Direct and online application forms. The Transport Office will email you when your permit or pass is ready.

Local train services on 5 November

Train services are being changed for Thursday 5 November amid concerns that people might try to travel to Lewes, despite the Lewes Bonfire celebrations being cancelled, exposing the local community to an increased risk of Covid-19.

No trains will call at Lewes, Glynde, Cooksbridge or Southease after 5pm on Thursday 5 November. Online train journey planners such as National Rail Enquiries are being updated to reflect this change.

Update from Brighton & Hove Buses

Brighton & Hove Buses have released new advice on travelling via bus in the darker winter months, as well as updates to their journey planning tool.

Regular updates on local bus services are available on the Brighton & Hove Buses website
