Probability, Mathematical Physics and Applications

A three day workshop taking place within the Department of Mathematics, University of Sussex, 16-18 September 2019.

A three day workshop covering various topics in Probability and Mathematical Physics including random matrices, free probability, branching processes will take place at the Department of Mathematics, University of Sussex from Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 September 2019. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss some recent developments in these areas, and to explore future directions for common interactions. This is also the occasion to celebrate the new appointments of mathematicians at Sussex.

The venue will be Pevensey 1 building, room 1A6, University of Sussex (see below for a map and directions).

The conference will start at 11am on Monday and Tuesday, and at 9:45 am on Wednesday (see details in the programmes below). In the evenings, we will invite the speakers of the day to dinner in the city of Brighton. If you wish to join us, please indicate in the registration form below.

Venue Details

The event will take place in Pevensey 1A6 at the University of Sussex (building C3 on the campus map).  The University of Sussex is located in Falmer which is a short bus or train ride away from Brighton (directions to the University).  Further local information is available at www.visitbrighton.com.
