Study abroad

The University offers the opportunity to study abroad as part of your degree. We have student exchanges with over 40 universities in North America and over 90 universities in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Study abroad can be taken for one term, or a year, with the courses you choose counting towards your Sussex degree.

In the recent years students from the School of English went abroad to study at the following universities:

  • European universities: University of Reykjavik, University of Uppsala, University of Gothenborg, University of Amsterdam, University of Konstanz, Charles University in Prague
  • North American universities: University of Washington, Penn State University, Occidental College, Rochester University, University of Vermont, Simon Fraser University
  • Australian universities: Monash University, Queensland University.
