Autumn teaching

On this module, you’ll experience collaborative ways of working while exploring theatre texts from different historical periods. You’ll explore practical techniques for translating a text from page to stage. The overall aim is to broaden your understanding of the text’s relationship with performance. Key skills you’ll gain include:

  • collaboration
  • approaches to textual analysis
  • acting
  • directing
  • staging performance.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 36 hours of contact time and about 264 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
