Located adjacent to the National Park at the back of campus but still within walking distance to most academic departments, Northfield consists of six person flats with some studio and family flats. There are also several rooms specially designed for students with disabilities. Each flat has its own kitchen/dining room/lounge area and all rooms are en-suite. The first phase of Northfield, 777 bed-spaces, opened in September 2011, and the second phase, an additional 180 bed-spaces, opened in May 2012. Building work is on-schedule for an additional 147 bed-spaces to open in Summer 2013.
