Documents & policies

The following are the main documents and policies used within Residential Services:

2010 Housing Guide - gives the main information needed to make an informed choice about the accommodation you want if you come to Sussex. The guide is sent out from March onwards to all applicants with an offer of place at Sussex for the following October.

Rent Rebate and Compensation Policy explains in what circumstances the University will offer compensation if you suffer a loss of service or amenity in the residences.

Tenancy Terms and Conditions [DOC 39KB] - this is the back page of the tenancy agreement and contains the terms and conditions that both the University and the student have to abide by. The front page is system generated and will have student contact details, room and rent details. Two copies of the tenancy agreement are sent after the room has been allocated and the student will need to sign both copies and return one to us to confirm their booking.

University Ordinances and Regulations - when you sign your tenancy agreement you are agreeing to abide by these, so make sure you read them first.

Charges 2006-2007 [DOC 24KB] - lists the charges that we can make for cleaning or damages.

Complaints Procedure - lets you know who to complain to if there is a problem.
