The Attenborough Centre Creativity Zone is situated in Pevensey III, Room C7.

les soeurs sonores is a live electronic / laptop duo whose work explores different modalities of deploying sound objects in real-time. They create intricate sonic landscapes using field recordings, amplified objects & instruments with live processing. This presentation will be the culmination of an intensive mini-residency in the Creativity Zone, making full use of the new 8 speaker audio system. Issues explored include presence/non-presence, the threshold of audibility, poetic/sonic resonance, rates of transformation, and shaping space.
HEATHER FRASCH is a composer of acoustic and electro-acoustic music, an improviser and experimental flutist and works on sound installations. She is currently based in Berlin, where she is an active part of the electronic arts scene.
Her music has been performed at festivals and concerts worldwide such as: FRUM (Iceland), Atlas Academy (Amsterdam), ICMC (Huddersfield), NYCEMF (New York), SICMF (Korea), Moscow Autumn Festival, San Francisco Tape Music Festival, Acanthes Festival (Luxembourg) and the Third Practice Electronic Music Festival (Virginia), among others.
She attended the Cursus for Young Composers at IRCAM (France) with Yann Maresz, Schloss Solitude Academy (Stuttgart) with Chaya Czernowin and Mark Andre, and the Wellesley Composer Conference with Mario Davidovsky. Other honors include the George Ladd Prix de Paris in Composition, International Sergei Slonimsky Composition Competition Prize in 2012, and the Nicol DeLorernzo Prize in Composition, 2010 and 2008.
She received her Phd from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied composition with Franck Bedrossian and Edmund Campion, and worked on interactive electronic music at CNMAT (Center for New Music and Audio Technologies) with David Wessel. Heather holds a Silver Medal from the Conservatoire Nationale de Region de Lyon and a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University. <www.heatherfrasch.net
