Library Card
Sussex students are automatically members of the Library. Your student ID card is also your library card. Find out where you can collect your ID card. You can also find your digital library card on the SussexMobile App. You will be able to access our online resources 48 hours after you complete registration.

Library Workshops
We offer a range of support to help you develop key research skills, understand how to find and use information, and make the most of the library's resources.
Keep an eye out for upcoming events or sign up to our mailing list for alerts about upcoming workshops.
Accessing your Reading list
Your reading list is available via the Canvas site for your module. To access your reading lists, you will need to have completed registration and waited 48 hours. If you are having trouble accessing your reading list, please speak to a member of staff on the Library Service Desk or via the library chat.
BSMS Students
BSMS students have full access to the University of Sussex Library. This includes book and item borrowing including chromebook loans, use of group study rooms, PC and Mac access and printing and use of our wellbeing, leisure and audiobook collections.
Your BSMS ID card will grant you access to the building and allow you to use the self-service borrowing machines. For everything else you will need to use the Sussex version of your bsms email (ending @sussex.ac.uk) if you need support with your Sussex email please contact Sussex IT Services.

Sussex Big Read 2025
Following last year's success, we are thrilled to announce that the Sussex Big Read is happening again this year!
The selected title is Brighton Bound: Stories of Moving To, Around and Out of the City, 1920s – 2020s. Written by Cath Senker, Ben Rogaly and Amy Clarke, and published by QueenSpark Books, Brighton Bound combines lived experience, photography and critical commentary.
Pick up a free copy from the Library and join this shared reading experience.
