Study abroad at Sussex in the summer

The International Summer School at the University of Sussex welcomes hundreds of international students each summer from mid-June until mid-August. You can study with us for either four or eight weeks and choose from more than 60 courses in the humanities, sciences and social sciences.

We have many exciting new courses on offer for 2010 including courses in business and management, psychology, sociology, and history. See our course listings for more information on classes offered in 2010, including syllabuses.

As a student at Sussex you will experience one of the most exciting campuses in the UK, with distinguished faculty, well-equipped laboratories, and a fine library. You will live and learn with students from around the world, earn college credit, and benefit from experiencing a different academic and cultural environment. The Summer School organises a number of social events, trips and films. You will be able to enjoy the exciting seaside resort of Brighton, the beautiful Downland countryside surrounding the University campus, and London is under an hour away by rail. Heather's Perspective

'Studying abroad in England and at the University of Sussex has definitely been an exciting experience. Being abroad has given me the chance to experience different cultures and different academic systems. Sussex is a great university because it has similarities to the US, so you feel a little more content with being abroad. Travelling and studying abroad has been the best experience of my life.' Heather Conniff, from the University of California, USA
