University of Sussex Campus : Freeman Centre, F22
Speaker: Organisational Development
Part of the series: Learning at Work Week
This practical session will give us an opportunity to explore the research-based set of dispositions that are associated with effective lifelong learning and how these can be incorporated as part of our professional toolkit. We will use a really interesting model to look at how transformational it can be if we learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, so as to remove the anxiety the we tend to feel when we are in a position of not knowing, of uncertainty and when facing new challenges. We will discuss how in our roles and in our contexts it may possible to ensure that we focus on learning how to learn before we engage in learning what we learn.
