September 2019 -

Dr Alessia Pasquazi of our Emergent Photonics Lab has been awarded the 2019 ERC Starting Grant for her work on Temporal Laser cavity-Solitons for micro-resonator based optical frequency combs.

July 2019 -

Dr Seokjun Hong has collaborated with Professor Rainer Blatt of University of Innsbruck, and Professor Dan Cho from Seoul National University. Their paper,  MEMS-based design of a high-finesse fiber cavity integrated with an ion trap, designed MEMS based microstage to control the fiber mirrors for an ion-cavity system.

June 2019 -

Raphaël Le Brun-Ricalens, doctoral researcher and PhD student in our Ion Quantum Technology Group, is featured in the Luxembourg National Research Fund's Spotlight on Young Researchers.
