Role

As Senior Press Officer I am responsible for raising the profile of the University through effective press relations management. My remit includes devising and implementing the press relations strategy, which involves identifying opportunities for positive press coverage and encouraging academics and relevant faculty to engage with the media.

In addition to producing press releases and making direct contact with journalists, I edit and manage the University's Experts Directory,  organise media training and other media events, and monitor press and broadcast coverage.

Working with the Communications Officer, I also contribute articles to the University's internal newsletter, Bulletin.
