Biography
I completed my MA at the University of York in 2016, having written a dissertation on the comparative role of Moors and Ottomans on the Elizabethan and Jacobean Stage. For my PhD, I am moving both geographically further afield, and temporally further in time. My research concerns the unique role of Persia on the mid- seventeenth century Stage (1625-1665), an enormously volatile political period which is witness to the Personal Rule, the Civil War, and the Restoration.
