Dr Stephen Bunting

Stephen Bunting is Managing Partner of life science venture capital firm Abingworth LLP, which he first joined in 1987.
He became Managing Director in 2002 and later Managing Partner when the firm moved to a partnership structure. He has been involved in more than 100 venture deals and now oversees the management of $1.25 billion.
Before joining Abingworth, Stephen spent a year with Rothschilds Asset Management and three years at Prutec, between 1983 and 1986.
He has a first class degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Sussex, and an MSc and PhD from Reading.
