Governance reform
The University's revised Charter and Statutes were agreed by the Privy Council on 15 February 2012. The University's Senate discussed the changes on 16 November 2011 and the University Council approved the changes at its meeting on 25 November 2011. The documents are available on Sussex Direct.
The changes came into effect on 1 March 2012, affecting governance of the institution, including issues such as the composition of Council and of Court, tenure of Council members and the method of appointment of the Chancellor.
