Maths PhD student Alex Pitkin wins best paper prize

Alex Pitkin, 2nd year PhD student in Mathematics at Sussex, recently won the prize for "Best Student Paper in a Contributed Session" at the Applied Mathematics, Modeling and Computational Science (AMMCS) conference in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, for his presentation "High-order Scheme for option pricing with stochastic volatility and jumps in returns".

AMMCS 2017 is an interdisciplinary international conference in a series of AMMCS meetings held in Waterloo, organized in cooperation with AIMS and SIAM.
