The Library will be implementing a new repository solution over the coming months. Figshare will be familiar to many of you as the University’s current data repository – from July the platform will also become the new publications repository, replacing Eprints, the software that underpins Sussex Research Online (SRO).  

Staff will continue to deposit their publications on Elements and upload their data to Figshare just as they do now. The move will consolidate the University’s research data & publication records, ensuring robust preservation and simplified workflows.  

The Library team are working with colleagues across the university to ensure that the migration of content from EPrints to Figshare will be seamless.  

Due to the nature of the migration, please note that deposit of publications will be unavailable throughout June; the Library will provide information on temporary procedures via the Elements support pages & deposit guidance within the system; for further information please contact the team at sro@sussex.ac.uk.
