The research interests of the Biochemistry and Biomedicine group centre on proteins and the genes that encode them.
The group is an integral part of the School of Life Sciences, with thirteen research groups and three research facilities, providing a dynamic and collaborative environment for carrying out state-of-the-art research. Five of the Biochemistry and Biomedicine research groups are also members of the University of Sussex Gene Expression Research Group.
Current funding comes from the Medical Research Council, the Biotechnology, Biocscience Research Council, Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and other charities.
