Centre for Global Health Policy

Student Stop Aids Campaign Speaker Tour 2014

The event is an opportunity to meet three inspirational young people living with HIV.  This year our speakers include Nick Henderson a gay man living positively in the UK, Daisy Namkula, director of Ugandan women’s human rights organisation WONETHA and Jay Liu who has campaigned for access to affordable medicine and better treatment support in China. We will hear how national and international AIDS policy affects them and other young people, and learn from their experience and expertise. These young people speak not as victims, but as hopeful, determined and capable individuals and their achievements should inspire us to take action.

There will also be an opportunity to meet members of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign and to learn what motivates young campaigners in the UK.

All welcome! No need to register. Refreshments will be served before and after the debate.
