Research

My research focuses on the international regime of intellectual property rights in human genetic materials, looking at the ways in which changing priorities may be a reflection of an increasing turn towards a more 'biopolitical' understanding of global health initiatives. My broader research interests include international theory, poststructuralist theory (especially the work of Michel Foucault), and an IR perspective on international law.

I am a member of CAIT, the Centre for Advanced International Theory, and the Centre for Global Health Policy.
