The University of Sussex is located by Falmer station on the outskirts of Brighton, about an hour from central London by train. The university campus is surrounded by the South Downs National Park, and is a 10 minute train ride from central Brighton.

 The Astronomy Centre is on the top floor (Level 5) of the Pevensey II building. It is marked (building #50) on the Campus Map and the rough position is shown here:

If you are walking from the station,follow the sign to University of Sussex (NOT Brighton) which takes you under the main road. Once on the campus you turn right then left, and then keep going under the bridge over the road until you see some steps on your right going up to the main entrance of the building. The reception is by the main entrance, or you can head straight upstairs.
