Are you currently looking for a mentor in the research space?
Come to our speed mentoring event on Friday 13th June at 10-12pm and meet a range of our available mentors in a relaxed setting over refreshments.
We have two slots available, 10-11am and 11am-12pm. Across the hour you will meet with up to four potential mentors from our Research community across Sussex.
This event aims to support new mentees to connect with suitable mentors by providing the opportunity to complete chemistry sessions with a range of our available mentors.
As a reminder, a chemistry session is an informal chat to connect and check compatibility for mentoring. There is no obligation from either party to match afterwards, however hopefully this event will generate some new meaningful mentoring relationships where good fits are found!
Please note, this event is especially valuable for early and mid-career researchers, but due to the limited capacity of the Mentornet platform, it is not suitable for PGRs.
For further information on careers support for PGRs at Sussex see the careers resources webpage (Sussex Researcher School) and/or check out the Diverse Careers Panel event, also part of the Summer of Research.
This event is part of the Summer of Research 2025, a two-week festival of researcher-led talks, workshops and exhibitions celebrating our fantastic research here at the University of Sussex. Find out about and sign up for other exciting events here!
Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any accessibility requirements regarding this staff development activity (e.g., hearing/visual impairment) so that we can do our very best to accommodate your needs.
All managers are encouraged to enable staff to attend University events in work time, where business needs allow, as learning and development to further all staff contributions in supporting to achieve our goals. Please support to share this event with your teams and networks.
