Transition from laminar to turbulence in separated flow occurs in a wide range of practical engineering applications. The transition process has a great influence on the flow development downstream and it is very important to have a good understanding of the flow physics involved in order to predict it accurately, and to control it when needed. It is very complicated involving turbulence, mixing, kinetics etc. and has a great impact on the engine performance. It is crucial to develop a computational tool to predict it accurately.
