Whether you’re based in the UK or overseas, there are a variety of ways to meet us:
Postgraduate Open Day 2013
We aim to make our web pages as informative as possible but, to really give you a true feel of what life is like at Sussex, we would like to invite you to come and see for yourself at our Postgraduate Open Day on 4 December 2013, 1pm-4pm, at Bramber House, University of Sussex. To register your interest in attending, visit Postgraduate Open Day.
Discover Postgraduate Study information sessions
If you can’t make it to our Postgraduate Open Day, you are welcome to attend one of our Discover Postgraduate Study information sessions. For more information or to book a place, visit Discover Postgraduate Study.
Other ways to visit Sussex
We run weekly guided campus tours every Wednesday afternoon, year round. Book a place at Visit us and Open Days.
You are also welcome to visit the University independently without any pre-arrangement.
You may find it helpful to visit your chosen department or meet your prospective supervisor during the application process. To do this, you’ll need to contact the member of staff listed in the relevant subject area at Postgraduate study before you visit us. We always do our best to accommodate such requests.
If you're unable to visit us, you can get an excellent introduction to the University from our online Campus tour.
Meeting us outside the UK
If you live outside the UK, you can meet our University-based advisors, who visit a number of countries each year. For a list of visits, refer to Your country.
We also have representatives who are permanently based overseas. Contact details are available at Representatives.

Terry's staff perspective
‘A key part of my role in Student Recruitment Services is to provide opportunities for prospective postgraduate students to visit the University and find out more about what Sussex has to offer.
‘Our annual Postgraduate Open Day offers you an excellent forum to talk to representatives from schools and departments across the University. Academic staff, admissions tutors, current postgraduate students and support services advisors are available throughout the day to answer your questions. In addition, there is a series of talks, workshops and campus tours.
‘also run the Discover Postgraduate Study information sessions. These are held in the spring and summer terms and feature a presentation about what postgraduate study involves, the funding that’s available and the likely career destinations of postgraduate students. You can also take a campus tour and participate in a question-and-answer session with current postgraduate students’
