Michelle's perspective
‘I chose to study for a Masters at Sussex as I was teaching A-level Physics in my home country, Brunei Darussalam, and wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the subject. The University has a really good reputation and the Department of Physics and Astronomy carries out exciting research.
‘The International team offers a lot of support for international students. It organised talks and events during Freshers' Week to help us settle in, including a walking tour of Brighton and a welcome reception held at the Brighton Dome, with food and a jazz band. I've also visited beautiful places such as Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge and Warwick thanks to organised trips, and met other international students who were staying at Sussex during the holidays at a Christmas-day lunch.'
