Support from our Friends
Donations and support from members of the community played a role from the very start of the founding of Sussex 50 years ago - with major gifts supporting signature buildings like the Gardner Centre and the Meeting House.
As we move forward, our alumni and friends have continued to support the work of the University and this will become increasingly important in the future.
Our strong Development and Alumni Relations Office will be working with academic and other colleagues to involve alumni and friends in the life of the University - advising, guiding and mentoring students and colleagues at Sussex.
The University's 50th anniversary in 2011-12 provides us with the opportunity to celebrate past triumphs and garner support for future success. A major fundraising campaign will be launched to support key initiatives, which will be a vital part of making the future at Sussex.
