Next year we hope to further develop our projects and compete with the likes of Nottingham, who have been national champions for the last three years. It shows how much Sussex students are willing to put into voluntary community development.'

Sussex has a long tradition of engaging with business and the community, which continues today through activities such as the Sussex Innovation Centre, public lectures and service to the community.

We will develop a deeper culture of engagement, through community-based activities, and foster a greater sense of entrepreneurship and innovation at Sussex.

We will ensure that our key academic achievements have practical applications, such as products and services, which benefit the wider community.
