Final reports are required for all projects funded through the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit Programme. This is in order to:

• Ensure accountability
• Aid in appropriate dissemination of project results
  
• Encourage quality assurance of project outputs
• Assess the impact of the research support by the Programme
• Demonstrate the achievements of the Programme.
