Boundary Walk information and routes

Social running on campus

  • Our social runs are cancelled until further notice because of goverment advice on the developing Coronavirus pandemic. You can find out how this is affecting Sussexsport facilities and services on our dedicated webpage.

During term time, students can run socially twice a week with Active US. The sessions cater for beginner runners and those who have more experience.

Sessions are led by our Student Running Activator and start at the Sport Centre, following routes around campus and the Sussex Downs according to the needs of the group. Find out more via the Active US Running Group on Facebook

You can also join us for our weekly Runch (Run at Lunch). These sessions are open to staff and students and are low key, social and focused on those who want to share their lunchtime jog: no intervals, hill training or minute per mile pacing, this is a relaxed run which lasts no more than 30-40 minutes and is open to all. We run:

  • Thursdays 12.10pm-12.50pm

Meet at the Sport Centre reception.

Running sessions are open to all on campus. If you're a not a member of Sussexsport but would like to use the shower facilities, a £1.60 guest fee will be charged.

Boundary Walk/Run

Sussexsport hold an annual boundary walk and boundary run around the University of Sussex campus. If you'd like to receive more information about either event, please contact our Duty Manager Aaron Munnery by email:

If you feel inspired to check out the beautiful countryside around campus independently, there is more information about the waymarked boundary walk online.
