We work with local off-campus venues to offer some great opportunities for University of Sussex students.

In addition to our on-campus facilities, we work with local companies to offer you lots of sporting opportunities throughout Sussex. 

Swim for £1 at local pools

Just show your student ID card to swim for £1 at pools in Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Newhaven, Seaford and Ringmer.

Bouldering

Bouldering is a fun form of indoor climbing without the need for ropes or harnesses. We run weekly sessions during term time as part of our Active US social sport programme. 

We have also agreed a student discount with Boulder Brighton, so if you get the climbing bug you can go as often as you like!

Yellowave Beach Sports 

We run one-off beach volleyball sessions at Yellowave, a beach sports venue by close to Brighton Marina in the city centre. To find out more about these events, like our Active US Facebook page or follow us on Twitter.

Climbing

High Sports climbing are based at the Withdean Sports Complex in Brighton. Our partnership allows us to offer some great discount opportunities for Sussex students to learn how to climb and take full use of their fantastic facilities.

BTN BikeShare

University of Sussex students and staff get a 10% discount on the annual membership plan for BTN Bike Share. The plan is available to anybody registering with a University of Sussex email address, either by downloading the Social Bicycles (SoBi) app or signing up online. The University has two BTN BikeShare hubs on campus; outside the Sport Centre and York House.
