Whether you are looking to open up both body and mind, practice relaxing breathing techniques, or improve flexibility, strength and stamina, Sussexsport offers a variety of relaxation classes delivered by experienced teachers.

Try out:

  • Dynamic Yoga - based on flowing sequences and precise alignment, linked to full rhythmic breathing that will open up both body and mind. This class will improve your strength, stamina and flexibility.
  • Classic Yoga - a complete system of health and fitness for mind, body and spirit with deep relaxation, breathing, stretching, balance and inverted posture exercises.
  • Yoga - Learn to relax into your body and become naturally stronger. We will practice simple movements and techniques that encourage the mechanics of your body to work well and efficiently; helping to loose tension, feel supported and naturally strong in your body and mind.
  • Yin Yoga - focuses on strengthening the connective tissues of ligaments and tendons. It is great for the joints of the body and compliments the yang asanas which are more active. Postures are held for up to 5 minutes relaxing muscles allowing deeper work to be done with the body. The class with strengthen and tone the joints. Yin is for all levels.
  • Hatha YogaA class incorporating classic yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation to aid total well-being, inner peace and mental clarity - suitable for those with experience.
  • Pilates - mat-based Pilates, focusing on improving flexibility and strength for the whole body. Slow, controlled movements for maximum effect and relaxation. This class is suitable for beginners and improvers.
  • Aerial Yoga - Move between yoga postures using a low-hanging wide aerial silk, hung like a hammock, to give flowing movements that relax and stretch the body. Long sleeves and long trousers recommended wear, but not essential. Please wear clothing with no zips or buckles, and remove watches and jewellery prior to each class.
