Wellbeing Week 2020

Take part in activities on and off campus for Wellbeing Week.

Sussex Wellbeing Week takes place from Monday 2 to Friday 6 March 2020.

The week is a partnership between the University and the Students' Union and is designed to raise awareness of wellbeing issues, empower you to look after your own wellbeing, and give you vital information about where to find advice and support.

Sussexsport is running events on and off campus throughout the week. You don't need a sports membership or any experience to attend the sessions, which will be fun and encouraging in supportive settings.

Tai Chi: 3pm-4pm, Monday 2 March - Sport Centre Dance Studio

Relax your mind and strengthen your body with this powerful martial art. Designed for beginners, this gentle class is open to all and will focus on:

  • relieving stress through moving meditation
  • strengthening muscles and joints
  • alleviating back pain
  • gently activating stagnant energy.

Gentle Run on campus: 3pm-3.30pm, Wednesday 4 March - Sport Centre

Join our supportive and encouraging Active US student activator, who will lead the session, for a gentle run on campus. No experience required and jogging/walk-running welcome! 

This event is free and open to all on campus, no need to book - just turn up in running clothes and trainers.

Meet at the Sport Centre reception at 3pm for a gentle 30-minute session that is social, rather than focusing on running times or speeds. Our Active US running sessions are every week in term time.

Yoga at Yellowave Beach Sports: 6pm-7pm, Thursday 5 March - Brighton 

A gentle yoga session at Yellowave Beach Sports venue near Brighton Marina. Take part in our relaxing yoga session overlooking the beach!
