Dr. Andrei Gomez-Suarez is involved, together with other UK-based scholars, in setting up a series of events following the developments of the current peace process between the Colombian Government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). This series has brought and aims to continue bringing academics and practitioners to offer policy recommendations to the negotiation table. More generally, the events seek to be a forum for discussion in which historical and comparative analysis shed light on key lessons learned from previous peace processes, present and future challenges for the current peace process, and the prospects of post-conflict reconstruction in Colombia.
