Logos
The University logo is to be used on all corporate, recruitment and school and department publications. Please note that if you are a doctoral student, the Doctoral School advises against using the logo on the cover of your thesis.
With a large number of schools, departments, research centres and professional service units, it is crucial that all University of Sussex publications are branded consistently, including the University of Sussex logo.
In addition, we have a comprehensive set of secondary logos specific to each school, department, research centre or professional services unit, for use in print and in digital media. Please refer to our guidelines on how to use our logos.
Neither you nor any designer should modify any existing logo in any way, or create new logos. Logos should not be stretched, distorted or subjected to any special effects.
If you find you need a new logo (eg for a newly created and formally approved research centre) you should contact the Publications and Branding Team so that we can produce the logo for you, publications@sussex.ac.uk.
Please note that the logo guidelines show logos that reflect the academic structure of the University prior to 1 August 2009. These are examples only, and you or your designer should use only those logos that are available to download from the Publications and Branding team website. The guidelines will be updated at a later date with examples from the new academic structure.
