The TERENCE project involved the design, implementation and evaluation of an adaptive learning system for poor comprehenders and their educators.

The system is aimed at both hearing and deaf children aged 7-11, and includes a series of stories, which can be adapted to suit the learners’ reading level, and associated mini-games. The ChaTLab is involved in the user centred design and evaluation of the TERENCE system.

TERENCE was an FP7 project funded by the European Commission through  the  Seventh Framework  Programme for Research and Technological Development (ICT: Technology-enhanced learning).
