Role
Ralitsa Hiteva is a Research Fellow specialising in infrastructure governance and regulation. Ralitsa is part of the International Centre for Infrastructure Futures (ICIF), where she is working on changes to business models for infrastructure provision due to pressures such as cross–sector integrations and low carbon transitions.Ralitsa is also part of the UK Infrastructure Transitions Research Consortium (ITRC) where she examines the complex governance arrangements across scales and multi-scale systems strategic infrastructure decision making in Multi-infrastructure systems analytics (MISTRAL) programme.
Ralitsa is also involved in a newly funded ESRC project investigating ‘Resilience and vulnerability at the urban Nexus of food, water, energy and the environment (ResNexus)'. As part of the project Ralitsa will lead research activities for SPRU’s research site in Sofia, Bulgaria, focusing on the practices of 1) heat and hot water provision and use in multifamily buildings/blocks of flats, and 2) food provision and consumption.
