The teaching of Modernism at Sussex takes place at numerous sites and in many different ways. There is a thriving community of graduate students working on Modernist topics and opportunities to study Modernism throughout the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. Recent Sussex graduate students have worked on a wide variety of topics including Elizabeth Bowen, Samuel Beckett, Charles Olson and Walt Whitman, Louis Zukofsky, Anais Nin, Veronica Forest-Thompson, Mary Butts and British surrealist poetry.
