Introduction to London
 
Explore some of London South Bank's famous landmarks and take a boat trip down the River Thames.

 

Trip Includes

Return coach trip to London, an ISS led guided tour of the Tate Modern, entrance to the Tower of London and a single boat trip ticket.

 

A coach will collect you from campus and drop you off at the Tate Modern, a national gallery of modern art from around the globe. You can either join in with the ISS guided tour or have a look around the galleries at your own pace. You will learn about the Tate's amazing collections and internationally recognised pieces. Once you've had your fill of culture, ISS staff will lead you down The Queen's Walk for a spot of lunch! ISS staff will provide you with a guide book showing all the different places where you can buy your lunch nearby, there is also the option to take a ride on the London Eye which is nearby.

After lunch, everyone will meet at Westminster Pier for a relaxing boat cruise along the River Thames to the Tower of London. ISS staff will show you around the tower, a medieval palace with a colourful history, famously housing the Crown Jewels, a prison and an armoury. Afterwards, a coach will collect you from the Tower and take you back to the Sussex campus.

 * Please note that lunch and drinks are not included. This is a long trip so have breakfast before we set off. Remember to bring lunch money, a drink and some snacks.

Bath and Stonehenge 
 Bah and Stonehenge
Visit the beautiful regency city of Bath and mysterious Stonehenge.

 

Trip Includes

Return coach travel to Bath and Stonehenge, guided walking tour of Bath, entrance to Roman Baths and an audio tour of Stonehenge.

NOTE: Lunch is not included in the price. It is a long trip so have breakfast before setting off. Remember to bring lunch money, a drink and some snacks with you.

The day will begin with a tour of the beautiful city of Bath. After this, you can explore the city on your own and grab some lunch. We will then visit the traditional Roman Baths. The Baths were built in 60-70AD and gradually improved over the next 300 years. They are incredible to see first-hand!

After this, we will get back on the coach and head to historical Stonehenge. You will have a couple of hours to explore the Stone Circle and the Visitors Centre. The Centre includes a 360 degree cinema, so you can experience standing in the ancient circle. There are films about the creation of the circle, facial reconstructions of Neolithic man, exhibits about the circle's construction and over 300 prehistoric artefacts. After this, the coach will take us back to Sussex campus.
