The School of Global Studies and the Department of Law have set up the New Security Challenges Speaker Series, which will bring to Sussex University key academic experts and practitioners in the broad field of international security in order to share multi-disciplinary insights into the complexities of contemporary international relations. Interdisciplinary Seminar Series Justice and Violence
These seminars provide a forum for discussion of the research of both visiting and Sussex scholars in Law, Anthropology and International Relations whose work shares a common focus on questions of justice and violence. The Sussex Uneven and Combined Development Working Group
The Department of International Relations holds a working group on the idea of Uneven and Combined Development. The group meets regularly during term time and has a dedicated website which can be found at www.unevenandcombined.com
Political Marxism & IR Study Group
The IR Department hosts a Staff/Doctoral Researchers Study Group on Political Marxism and International Relations. Activities include reading & discussion sessions, research presentations, outside speakers, and joint publications. Occasional Lectures and Workshops
The Department holds frequent occasional lectures and workshops. Some of these are annual events, others of them arranged with visiting fellows or special guest speakers.
