Management Referral
If a manager is concerned about the health of an employee, he/she should consider referring the person to Occupational Health for advice. A referral should be considered if an employee has become very seriously ill, has frequent short-term sickness, or after 2-4 weeks of a prolonged period of sickness absence.

Self Referral
Any employee can self refer to the Occupational Health Team. Issues discussed will be in confidence and details will not be passed on to any other member of University staff, without the express permission of the person concerned, unless there is a serious safety concern. To make an appointment, contact the Occupational Health Team directly on extension 7255.
