Sussex History Society caters for the academic and social needs of our history students. Over the last couple of years, there has been no active history society catering specificially for these needs, so in 2009 we filled this void!

Membership is free. Sign up online at University of Sussex Students' Union and join our facebook group so we can keep you up to date and well informed. The society will be around during freshers' week to encourage new students to join.

We organise:

• social events such as historical pub crawls, parties, balls
• external Speakers to enrich our academic University experience
• film showings to assess how popular culture interprets history
• student discussions: debates and events that allow everyone to voice their views.

This is your society and you can take it in any direction you want!
