2013 PhD Studentships

Selection of Candidates
Applicants are interviewed by lab heads and selected on the basis of academic qualifications, referees' evaluations, lab experience and personal interviews.
Funding
Most studentships in the GDSC are funded by the MRC but we also hold BBSRC, EU and Cancer Research UK studentships. These cover registration, running expenses, travel to an international meeting and a stipend.
Eligibility for these studentships depends on the criteria set by the funding bodies. PhD studentships are conditional on the applicants achieving a good BSc (Hons) or equivalent in biosciences or an MSc/ MPhil in a relevant subject.
