Applications and visiting us

Applying

For entry to our undergraduate degrees you must apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). See our undergraduate prospectus for information about how to apply.

Visiting us

The University holds three Open Days each a year, usually in June, September and October. Booking is essential for these events, so make contact quickly to check dates and secure places for you and your friends or family members. You will be sent a detailed timetable in advance of the event; our subject talks usually start at around 11am.

All applicants to our degrees who receive an offer are invited to attend an Applicant Visit Day. You'll get a first-hand view of what it's like to study here, a fuller picture of your chosen degree course and the low-down on all aspects of life as an undergraduate. There'll be general and department talks, tours, and demonstrations plus plenty of opportunities to meet lecturers and current students. You will receive full details in the invitation to the event; registration opens at 9am and subject-specific talks usually start at 10am.

If you are unable to make one of our Open Days, or if you have an offer but can't attend an Applicant Visit Day, you are welcome to come on one of our guided campus tours. The tours, led by current students or recent graduates, give you the chance to explore campus and find out about student life at Sussex. Alternatively, if you can't make any of our other visitor events you are still very welcome to come and have a look around the University campus and take a self-guided audio tour.

Refer to open days and events for detailed information about visiting, or telephone us on +44 (0)1273 678195.
