EASY research is concerned with the interfaces between the biological and computational sciences, particularly with reference to furthering the understanding of brains and minds.
Research foci include: computational neuroscience; scientific studies of consciousness; clinical applications of neural modelling; systems and computational biology; natural and artificial evolutionary systems; bio-inspired systems and methods; adaptive and cognitive robotics; navigation in insects and robots; theory and application of complex adaptive systems, including in the arts; artificial life; history and philosophy of AI and cognitive science; creative systems; history of cybernetics; dynamical, developmental and embodied approaches to cognition.
