Workers, State and Development in Brazil: Powers of Labour, Chains of Value
Ben Selwyn’s book, Workers, State and Development in Brazil: Powers of Labour, Chains of Value, has been shortlisted for the 2013 British International Studies Association, International Political Economy (IPEG) working group prize.
The book, based on fieldwork during the 2000’s, documents how labouring class struggles contributed to progressive human developmental outcomes for workers’ in an emerging region of export agriculture in North East Brazil.
