This two-day international conference on "Militarism: Political Economy, Security, Theory", organised by the Centre for Global Economy at the University of Sussex, on 14-15 May 2009 brought together scholars, practitioners and activists interested in the phenomena of militarism and militarisation. Over 30 leading scholars and researchers from around the world presented state-of-the-art research  from an inter-disciplinary perspective in a very successful conference.
