Dr Henry Danahay

 

Henry has over 20 years of experience in drug discovery research for respiratory diseases. Whilst with the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, he both supported and led a number of discovery projects from conception through to IND in his role as an in vivo and in vitro pharmacologist. His current research interests are focused around the functioning of the human airway epithelium and the development of new drug targets and therapeutics to treat diseases such as cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis and asthma.




Dr Darren Le Grand

 

Darren has over 20 years’ experience working as a scientist in drug discovery at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in the UK. As a Medicinal chemist Darren worked on numerous projects, contributing to the discovery of six development candidates with three reaching phase I clinical studies. He has experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams, and played a leading role in the discovery of QBW251, a potent potentiator of the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator. Darren is a named inventor on over 20 published patents on diverse targets such as ion channel modulation, enzyme inhibition and GPCR antagonism.
